Since 2005 we have been fortunate to have some of the country's top companies and celebrities sponsor our projects. Paramount Pictures; Wal-Mart; NBC Studios; Exxon Mobile; Amoeba Music; Huffy; Patricia Arquette; Jake Weber and many others.
Today we operate solely on Program Fees that are paid by the volunteers and/or schools that come to work with us.
In keeping with the philosophy that we had when we launched back in Los Angeles, CA, Relief Spark has never (nor will ever) apply for a 501 c 3 which is a tax status that would certainly open the doors for us to receive governmental grants and perhaps more financial contributions and/or in-kind donations. However with such a status placed upon us, we would then also be limited and restricted to a certain degree of how and where we spend our dollars. The "red tape" that sometimes presents itself when helping those in need is quite simply not who we are nor wish to be involved in.
We are a grassroots non-profit focused on supporting local businesses and most importantly driving needed funds to the projects that we take under our wing. We are boutique in size, but what we lack in staff, we make up for in the numbers of volunteers each year in addition to the sheer vast quantity of children that we positively affect. That to us......is most important. And that is who we are: we are hands on and we give volunteers a personable experience that combines helping those in need and supporting local businesses. We have created a voluntourism opportunity.
As for sponsorships, we rely on our background of marketing, product placement and public relations to bring media attention to those companies who Sponsor & Support our projects.
We offer direct placement to volunteers and schools. We can also secure local/regional and nationwide media exposure; including all social media networks such as Twitter, Facebook and Youtube.
If you are interested in receiving a media kit, please contact our office at: 504-377-7854 and ask for Sidney Ray-Bazan.
