Sponsors to help defray the costs of housing volunteers!
Relief Spark is a non-profit that provides volunteer logistics to a network of non-profit organizations in New Orleans, LA and surrounding areas.
We offer volunteers a very unique experience revolving around the keyword - "voluntourism." Our programs are with the non-profits we support in addition to our own rebuilding and landscaping programs. At night we offer volunteers a variety of entertainment to choose from - music and the arts; theater; food; guest speakers' the french quarter and/or local special events.
Have you ever wanted to go to Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest while making a difference? Do it all with Relief Spark! Explore parks and plantations, visit with families and hear their pre and post Katrina experiences while dining out at the best-of-the-best in local restaurants, while volunteering during the day with our non-profit partners!
Check out our recent projects to read more about the programs we offer and then fill out our volunteer request and someone from our office will be in touch with you regarding your trip to New Orleans. Relief Spark encourages corporations as well as school's to organize group volunteer trips. We specialize in working with smaller groups to ensure a positive and personable volunteer experience; however we also excel in organizing and coordinating large corporate groups volunteering on a day-by-day basis.
Past Relief Spark volunteers have put in over 200,000 hours of service into New Orleans, LA and St. Bernard Parish over the last 3 years. Over 5,000 college kids and adults from around the world have given up their vacations, holiday time with families, winter and spring breaks. The staff of Relief Spark thanks each and every volunteer for their dedication, passion and work effort and we look forward to working with you!
