NEW ORLEANS - PROJECTS
OPERATION CARE: We are working with families one-on-one and meeting their basic needs. The families we have "adopted" are in desperate need of housing, house wares, linens, appliances, gas cards, car insurance and educational based toys and books for their children. All families have been assessed and we assure you that each family is working hard to improve their situation - but ALL of them have the most horrific evacuation story to share and truly seek a helping hand while they put their life back together.

FUNDRAISING GOAL: $1,500.00 - per family
*Many of our families need adequate housing. In order to provide this, we would like to be in a position to offer 3-months of rental assistance of up to $1,500.00 per month for a family of 5+.

OPERATION REBUILDNOW: We have a handful of homes that will be rebuilt by volunteers and licensed professionals and we are seeking building material sponsors as well as tool sponsors. The homeowners of each house do not have flood insurance and meet our special needs criteria: meaning they are either single parents, disabled or elderly.

FUNDRAISING GOAL: $25,000.00 - per family
*This includes the cost of materials, skilled labor, insurance as well as interiors such as beds, sofa, dining table, desks, etc.

OPERATION ARTS & BARKS: We support Animal Rescue New Orleans by supplying the organization with daily volunteers as well as pet supplies. This is a wonderful opportunity to show your support to the hundreds of dogs and cats that were left behind during Katrina or were found wandering the streets. The "arts" part of this operation is that we bring dogs to the schools to introduce kids to pups. It's a rewarding experience and definitely a must-experience for dog lovers!

FUNDRAISING GOAL: $2,500.00 - per month
*We would like to be in a position to support ARNO's pet supply needs that include veterinary supplies, cat and dog food as well as toys.
